Dr. Jody Engel, DVM, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

Dr. Engel is the owner of The Meadows Veterinary Center, a companion animal hospital in Windsor, Colorado.

Prior to relocating to Windsor, Dr. Engel owned and operated a companion animal hospital with luxury boarding and doggy daycare in Evergreen, Colorado for 7 years. She has been practicing here in Northern Colorado for the last 5 years and is very excited to have a practice here in Windsor.

Her professional interests include preventive medicine, general surgery, dentistry, oral surgery and emergency medicine. In addition, she is certified in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Engel gains her professional satisfaction in helping people care for their four-legged family members. She enjoys helping owners understand all of their medical decisions and pet care options.

Dr. Engel grew up in southern Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from Colorado State University. She started her career practicing both large animal and small animal medicine in New Mexico and Nebraska before moving back to Colorado.

Dr. Engel is a member of the Amercian Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, Weld County Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

Dr. Engel and her husband Toby live in Windsor with their two children Delaney and Brogan. Outside of work, Dr. Engel enjoys spending time with her husband and tagging along with their children – often while coaching them in anything that requires a ball! In her spare time she loves landscaping, scuba diving, and learning to golf.
