Dr. Engel is the owner of The Meadows Veterinary Center, a companion animal hospital in Windsor, Colorado.

Dr. Engel opened The Meadows Veterinary Center in 2014. Since opening Dr. Engel has enjoyed the friendships that have been formed with our clients and is lucky to work in a community that loves their pets! She is excited to expand our services and hours with additions of Drs. Paternoster and DeBell. Prior to relocating to Windsor, Dr. Engel owned and operated a companion animal hospital with luxury boarding and doggy daycare in Evergreen, Colorado for 7 years.

Her professional interests include preventive medicine, general surgery, dentistry, oral surgery and emergency medicine. In addition, she is certified in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Engel gains her professional satisfaction in helping people care for their four-legged family members. She enjoys helping owners understand all of their medical decisions and pet care options.

Dr. Engel grew up in southern Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from Colorado State University. She started her career practicing both large animal and small animal medicine in New Mexico and Nebraska before moving back to Colorado.

Dr. Engel is a member of the Amercian Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, Larimer County Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

Dr. Engel loves calling Windsor home. Her children Delaney and Brogan have grown up in Windsor and are now in High School and Middle School- Go Wizards! She enjoys sitting in the bleachers, stands and auditoriums cheering them on in all they love. She sometimes feels like chlorine is her perfume due to all the swim meets she attends. Outside of work, Dr. Engel enjoys landscaping, scuba diving, and learning to golf.

Dr. Cindi Paternoster, DVM

Dr. Paternoster is originally from Minnesota, but spent most of her time growing up in Flagstaff, Arizona. She attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate studies, and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2017.

She has been working with Dr. Engel since 2011 and is thrilled to be joining The Meadows Veterinary Center as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Paternoster’s professional interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, and exotics.

Dr. Paternoster and her husband have lived in northern Colorado since 2011 and now call Windsor their home. They love being part of the community in Windsor. They share their household with four dogs, two cats, and a cockatiel. Outside of work, Dr. Paternoster enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading, gardening, and practicing yoga.

Dr. Malinda DeBell, DVM

Dr. DeBell was born and raised in Colorado. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Agriculture, a minor in Business Administration, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Colorado State University.

Dr. DeBell has special interests in surgery, clinical pathology, preventative medicine, exotic animal medicine, and client/owner education.

She likes to spend her free time immersed in the northern Colorado community with her family, several dogs, birds, and a cat. She is delighted to be a part of The Meadows Veterinary Center team as an associate veterinarian. She is devoted to serving the Windsor community and their fur-babies.
