We believe that preventive care is the best way to keep pets healthy and happy!

One of the most important services we provide is comprehensive care for your friend to support them through their first year of life.

Below is a list of health services we can provide during your next preventive care visit.

Vaccines

Vaccines are the best way to prevent disease in our companion animals.

We customize your pet’s vaccine schedule according to your lifestyle to make sure they are protected from the diseases they may be exposed to.

Vaccinations needed for all cats in Northern Colorado

Rabies
1-year vaccine
3-year vaccine
This vaccine is required by Colorado State Law for all cats

FVRCP
A core vaccine that is given as a combination and immunizations against serious feline diseases

Additional Lifestyle Vaccines

Feline Leukemia
Necessary for any cats with access to the outdoors
Feline Leukemia & FIV test is needed every year if your cat goes outside.

Preventative Care Lab Screen

Lab screening is needed for early detection of disease or illness. Often, we will see changes in lab work much sooner than you would see signs or symptoms of illness at home.

Fecal parasite screenings are needed at least annually to make sure your pet is free of intestinal parasites.

Junior Lab Screening

Senior Lab with Cardiac Enzyme Screening

Cats are susceptible to silent heart disease which is undetectable on a physical exam. Our Cardiac Enzyme Test can help with early detection of heart disease.

Cardiac Enzyme proBNP Test

Senior Pets are more likely to develop disease, and may not show signs at home until the disease is advanced.

Additional screening is needed for cats over 7 years of age for early disease detection.

Blood Pressure

Glaucoma Screening

We can now perform a same-day Screening Ultrasound, which helps us survey the heart, lungs, and abdomen for abnormalities before your pet shows symptoms of change.

Parasite Prevention

We also offer Parasite Prevention to best fit your pet’s lifestyle. These medications will protect your cat against parasites including fleas, ticks, heartworms, hookworms, and roundworms.

Cats can be exposed to these parasites even if they never go outside.

Our goal is to work side by side with you to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Please stop by for a tour of our hospital, and to meet Drs. Paternoster, DeBell, and the rest of the team.
