Our primary concern is to help your pets live longer and healthier lives. We are committed to providing you and your pets the quality health care you want, and your pets need.

We are a full-service animal hospital- we provide:

  • Preventive and medical care appointments
  • Emergency and urgent care appointments
  • Surgical services are not limited to spays and neuters

We believe that preventive care is the best way to keep pets healthy and happy!

One of the most important services we provide is comprehensive care for your friend to support them through their first year of life.

Below is a list of health services we can provide during your next preventive care visit.

Vaccines

Vaccines are the best way to prevent disease in our companion animals.

We customize your pet’s vaccine schedule according to your lifestyle to make sure they are protected from the diseases they may be exposed to. 

Vaccinations needed for all Dogs in Northern Colorado

Rabies
This vaccine is required by Colorado State Law for all dogs.
It is administered at 16 weeks of age.

Distemper-Parvo (DA2PP)
A core vaccine is given as a combination and immunizes against serious canine disease.

This vaccine should be administered at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks.

Leptospirosis
Recommended for all dogs due to the presence of wildlife in the area. This vaccine should be administered at 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age.

Additional Lifestyle Vaccines

Protect against respiratory infections that can develop into serious health concerns.

These vaccines are important for dogs that will be social with other dogs including boarding, grooming, dog parks, etc.

  • Bordetella
  • Influenza 

These vaccines are administered at 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age.

Microchips

We recommend placing a microchip for all pets. A microchip is a small chip that contains a unique ID number that can be identified by any veterinarian or animal shelter.

It doesn’t replace your pet’s ID tag or rabies tag, but it does serve as a form of permanent identification for your pet, and greatly increases the chances that you will be reunited with your pet if it is lost!

Preventative Care Lab Screen

Lab screening is needed for early detection of disease or illness.

Fecal parasite screenings are needed at least annually to make sure your pet is free of intestinal parasites.

A Heartworm and Tick Test should be performed at 10 months of age, then on an annual basis even if your pet is on year-round monthly parasite prevention.

Pre-operative lab testing is performed prior to spay or neuter procedures.

Parasite Prevention

We also offer Parasite Prevention to best fit your pet’s lifestyle.

These medications will protect your dog against parasites including fleas, ticks, heartworms, hookworms, and roundworms.

(Cost is depending on your pet’s current weight.)
